about

The late Nineties were buzzing with activity for a bunch of young musicians almost obsessively trying to work their way out of the provincial boredom with their instruments.
Originally a trio formed by guitarist Nicola Calcagno, I.R.D. started rehearsing in the remote cabin they were sharing with CARDOSANTO on the ligurian hills . I joined soon afterwards and the music quickly morphed into a very special blend of traditional music and noise rock, spiked by a common interest in experimental music.
We found ourselves rehearsing for endless nights, working feverishly at a bunch of song that got twisted and distorted from their original ideas into new musical creatures, drawing influences from all music we could get our hands on.
It has been short-lived but exhilarating, crazy and intense, it has also been buried in our archives for too long... enjoy the madness.
